My New Life
At Penn State.

My Transition

For the most part, my transition from high school to Penn State has been what I expected. I have made many new friends, become involved in many activities, and worked very hard. The end of my senior year at high school was not very difficult, so I was a little nervous about the work load in college. I have come to realize that college is a lot of work, but I am certainly able to handle it. In addition to being a lot of work, it is also a lot of fun.
There have been some low points this semester. For example, I have been stressed out a few times, specifically with my first term paper, but I got through it. I have had many high points, such as good grades, great musical experiences, and memorable times with new friends. Some of my favorite times with my friends have been activities like swing dancing and karaoke in the hub.
I know I made the right choice coming to Penn State. The school pride is so fun and exciting! I love the large feeling of the school, while at the same time, the school of music is a little more intimate. I feel like I am being challenged in my lessons and classes, but not overwhelmed. I really enjoy my music classes, and I am so excited to start working with kids. I have come to the conclusion that I need music to be a huge part of my life and my career.
